 Thirty-Hour Famine

       (February 26th-27th, April 23th-24th, 2010)

    - The 30 Hour Famine is a World Vision program that allows young people to make a significant impact on the problem of world hunger. By pledging to go without food for 30 hours, participants not only raise money to help alleviate this type of suffering, but also gain an understanding of how it feels to experience hunger. This experience, combined with a greater awareness of the suffering taking place in many parts of the world, will inspire young people to compassion and a greater desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Last year, over 600,000 young people across the United States helped raise over $10.8 million dollars to alleviate hunger in countries like Kenya, Indonesia, Haiti, and the United States.
